Although it managed a big-screen release, The Glass House would be much better suited for the Lifetime channel. Situated comfortably between Dying to Belong and Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?, this tale of an orphaned teen who falls into the hands of unsuitable guardians would make a great TV movie, but it just can’t hang with the big boys.

After the untimely death of her parents, Ruby (Leelee Sobieski) goes with her brother to live in the house of their new keepers, Mr. And Mrs. Glass, where she is told to be quiet (because of all the glass in the house). Unsurprisingly, their new parents are creepier than Iggy Pop in a prom dress, and Ruby must find a way to reveal the truth and save herself and her brother. Where will they go? Who can she trust? Who would pay money for this when you can watch Co-ed Call Girl for free?
