The Invasion [Blu-ray]

The Invasion is yet another Invasion of the Body Snatchers remake—the fourth, if you're counting—where an alien infection turns humans into unfeeling, uncaring soulless drones. Too bad they cast Nicole Kidman as the lead, because this is how we view her in everything. While other actors are trying to look emotionless, she's struggling to look human. The premise is still interesting, as are some of the modern updates to the classic story, but it jumps all over the place, ends abruptly, and is overwhelmingly forgettable. We now understand why it disappeared in theaters this past summer. We suspect it'll do the same in our lives. In fact, it already has. What movie were we talking about?
