X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE HD

Fox just released the official trailer to their upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine film starring Hugh Jackman as the Man of Adamantium Steel. While it's obvious, with "origins" being in the title and all, that there had to be some kind of flashback to Logan as a baby, it just seems like that's becoming more of a crutch in films—we're looking at you Star Trek and Star Wars. I'm sure script rewrite sessions included sentences like, "Hey, we can't really make up anything new about the character. Let's go back in time!" Whatever, from the looks of the new trailer, the movie is shaping up to be quite the opening blockbuster film of summer '09. And with appearances of fellow X-Man Gambit (Taylor Kitsch) and Hollywood's worst-kept-secret in Dead Pool (Ryan Reynolds), there's no stopping similar mega-budget Marvel spinoffs in the future..
