Zack Snyder's Watchmen couldn't win two weekends in a row (in March!), falling to The Rock's Escape to Witch Mountain and its relatively big $25 million opening. Fans and critics are having a war of words over this, of course, with the fans declaring Watchmen a cult movie that was never expected to be the second coming of Dark Knight, while critics are saying that, well, it was absolutely marketed as the second coming of Dark Knight and was fully expected to perform likewise.

Amid all this uproar and atomic blue pissing contests hides a fairly incredible stat: The Liam Neeson action flick Taken is still in the top 5 of the U.S. box office (it placed fourth this weekend, just ahead of Tyler Perry's Does It Even Matter What the Title Is). For a movie that is rumored to have had a budget in the modest $25-$30 million range, it has raked in around $130 million since its release. It's quietly been one of the most successful movies of this young year not starring Kevin James. What does this mean? Nothing. But it's an excuse to revisit our interview with Liam.
