Back when DVD was in its infancy, one of the earliest "must have" titles was Terminator 2: Ultimate Edition. Packaged in a sleek metal box, it made sure VHS stayed buried in a shallow grave just outside of town and dazzled with a razor-sharp presentation that was second only to the visions inside James Cameron's head.

When Blu-Ray finally won the short-lived next-gen format war, the big question was "When would T2 rise again?" Well, the wait is over. And worth it.

Lionsgate has brought T2 into the Blu with a monster 6-disc Complete Collector's Set packaged in a Terminator Skull bust. The base of the bust has a pull-out tray where all 6 discs can be stored, and it has light-up eyes and sound effects that cue up at the touch of a button. If you don't have this thing glaring down from your DVD shelf, you are not a movie fan. Plain and simple.

So what about the discs? Well, you get T2 on Blu-Ray (dubbed the "Skynet Edition"), both discs of the T2 Ultimate Edition, both discs of the T2 Extreme Edition, and a disc with a digital copy of the film for portable devices. The only thing it's missing is a handwritten thank you note from Arnie and the start-up codes for Skynet itself.

We would have loved a "Hasta La Vista, Baby" or an "I'll Be Back" to boom out of the skull instead of just generic sound effects, but that's like asking for a Ferrari in cherry red rather than candy apple red. We could nitpick, but why bother? This is the one of the best DVD packages for one of the greatest sequels ever made—you don't need any more of a reason to seek it out.

The Terminator 2: Complete Collector's Set hits stores tomorrow. Get a jump on it.
