THE CHICK FLICK YOU CAN TOLERATE
Plan A: Show your sensitive side…within reason. Grab a "chick flick" that at least has some redeeming value so that you can stay awake along enough for her to reward your gallant show of sensitivity. This week, we recommend:

Spring Breakdown
Look, the only recent chick flick to arrive on DVD is the godawful He's Just Not That Into You and there's no way we would wish that on you, even if it meant guaranteed sex afterward. Seriously, it's not worth it. So we're stuck with a straight-to-DVD comedy. But, hey, Spring Breakdown stars Parker Posey, Amy Poehler, and Rachel Dratch doing a gender-switch on Revenge of the Nerds. You could do worse.

THE GUY FLICK SHE CAN TOLERATE
Plan B: She has a headache, she has to get up early, her football injury is acting up - in short, you're looking at a dry night ahead. But, hey, you still want to spend some time together, so forgo the romance and put something that leans a little more on the "guy" side without leaving her in the cold. This week, we recommend:

Inside Man
New to Blu-Ray, this movie has the stuff you like (bank heists, Denzel Washington being a badass) and stuff she'll like (smarts, Jodie Foster being a badass), so it's an ideal middle ground. It may take some convincing, but don't lead her to think this is another Quick Change. It's not. Besides, we all know that Quick Change is totally a "Your Movie" choice.

YOUR MOVIE
Plan C: That yawn means, "I'm getting some beauty rest, so why don't you put that diving rod of yours on ice and watch something without me?" The downside: No sex. The upside: You can watch the movie you really wanted to watch, her feelings or interest level be damned. This week, we recommend:

Quick Change
You know what? Now we feel like watching Quick Change. It's been on DVD forever, so you should have a copy handy. If not, you are sorely lacking. This is underrated greatness right here.
