The first teaser trailer for the "remake" of A Nightmare on Elm Street has hit the webs and it may be the clearest signal yet that this whole recent horror movie reboot trend is complete and utter horseshit.

"Remake" implies a change. Any change at all. But as we've seen in Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, and now Elm Street, the producers of this crap basically think putting different actors in the exact same costumes, in the exact same locations, and killing them in the exact same ways satisfies the audience's desire for something "new."

Yeah. No.

Look at this piece of crap trailer. All that money spent and they can't even come up with new kills. The glove in the bathtub? C'mon! The floating out of bed kill? DONE! They don't even give Freddy a new fucking sweater. How is this a remake, exactly? Someone explain it to us. We have a lot of free time since we won't be bothering to see this.
