Since we know time is money, here's a quick handy reference guide to recent DVD releases that should be on your radar and, in many cases, on your shelf. Immediately.

Drag Me to Hell (Blu-Ray)
Release Date: October 13
What it is: Director Sam Raimi takes a break from Spider-Man to revisit some old school horror. Cue gypsy curses and boogeymen.
Why you need it: With "torture porn" all but ruining the genre ("gross" isn't "scary"), it's refreshing to get back to some old fashioned spook house horror. And Raimi is one of the best at mixing scares with chuckles. Drag Me is just fun, and just in time for Halloween.

The Mighty Boosh: Special Edition
Release Date: October 13
What it is: Odds are you've never heard of it, but this British series absolutely needs to be seen. A twisted, surreal comedy about two slackers working at a zoo, it's as head-scratching as it is hilarious.
Why you need it: Why not dive in with both feet? The "Special Edition" contains all three seasons of Boosh as well as a mountain of bonus material. You won't be disappointed.

Marvel Animation Set
Release Date: October 13
What it is: A collection of six of Marvel Animation's feature-length straight-to-video movies, including Ultimate Avengers, Ultimate Avengers 2, The Invincible Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Next Avengers, and Hulk Vs.
Why you need it: Although, to be fair, Marvel's animated output isn't as impressive as DC's, these are still respectful and enjoyable outings for most of Marvel's biggest names (especially those who haven't been given their own major movies yet, like Captain America and Dr. Strange). If you own these movies individually, however, there's nothing new to entice a double-dip.
