The Book of Eli opens this weekend...and Denzel Washington plays yet another rigid character who expresses his emotions through his hatwear, eyewear and stubble. That's been a recurring theme throughout the Oscar winner's career, as evidenced by this handy diagram.

Just for the record, the diagram is kind of backwards. The 'Hat & Facial Hair' and 'Glasses & Facial Hair' positions are mixed up...

He was good in Malcom X and American Gangster. The rest were all crap. The only respectable Black actor still alive is Morgan Freeman, of all time I'd say it's probably Sydney Poiter for Hollywood at least.

So now we have a new version of the six-degrees of separation game... well sort of, but this one requires (can only really be applied to) Hollywood veterans with a good track record of films. Samuel L Jackson anyone?
