Director Chris Nolan is batting 1.000. He started with Memento, then Insomnia, next Batman Begins and now blew our minds with a movie about two rival magicians in the late 19th century. With more twists, turns and "holy shit" moments than we could count, The Prestige centers around Christian Bale and Huge Jackman going to psychotic lengths to out-trick the other. It masters the art of deception and kept us on the edge throughout. It's not often we're this impressed or fooled by a movie with the most unappealing title imaginable (too bad they couldn't make a better one appear) but we can see ourselves watching this at least two more times to get the full effect. The extras also don't disappoint and give some more insight into the whole world Nolan created, and just like The Usual Suspects or Fight Club, makes us wish we could watch this again for the first time. (It's also available on Blu-ray, so if you have the means don't hesitate to get that version instead.)
