She’s an uptight science major. He’s a womanizing prince. And we’re extremely pissed that we even stepped into the theater. But since we had to spend nearly two hours watching The Prince and Me, you’re gonna have to spend nearly two minutes reading this. Paige (Julia Stiles) has her entire life planned out for her, with no time for distractions. Meanwhile, Edward (Luke Mably), the crown prince of Denmark, abuses his power to score chicks and race cars. But they couldn’t possibly meet and fall in love, could they? (Sigh…we’re trying, OK?) Once they realize they’re destined for each other, boy do the sparks fly. Too bad none of them were fortunate enough to scorch our retinas during the rest of this romantic comedy for toddlers. Julia tosses another stink bomb on a résumé that looked so promising after Save the Last Dance, and the spindly Brit who plays her love interest has a bright future ahead of him on BBC America. Prince Charles can hold his head high knowing he’s no longer the most embarrassing byproduct of European royalty.
