Whenever a DVD has glow-in-the-dark packaging, it's gonna get a minimum of four stars. (Take note, DVD companies.) Part comedy, part gross-out brain-eating extravaganza, this is one of those '80s classics that prove not all zombie films need to be so damn serious. Unlike Shawn of the Dead, which is the standard for hilarious zombie flicks, this pretends to take itself seriously; but it's clear they're playing just for laughs and groans. We're aware there's already been a special edition, but did it have a commentary with the undead and zombie subtitles for the film? We don't think so, Mr. Thinks-He's-a-Real-Movie-Nerd.
