Crank 2: High Voltage (Blu-Ray)
Release Date: September 8
What it is: The sequel to Crank. I know what you’re thinking, “Didn’t the dude at the end of Crank fall out of a helicopter”? Yes, he did. But guess what? HE FUCKING BOUNCED!
Why you need it: This is exactly the kind of batshit action film made for home viewing, so you can rewind the more ridiculous stunts and freeze-frame the scene where Amy Smart gets done horsey-style on a racetrack.

Fringe: Season One
Release Date: September 8
What it is: The newest series from J.J. Abrams, Fringe is about a group of people working for a secret branch of the FBI that tracks down cases….from the edge of the unknoooooowwwwwwwn!
Why you need it: It’s a show you might have brushed off and can now scramble to catch up on, and the “Real Science Behind Fringe” special feature is pretty great.

The Quick and the Dead (Blu-Ray)
Release Date: August 4
What it is: Before Sam Raimi was turning Spider-Man emo, he was twisting his camera around the old west. This gunslinger adventure stars the not unimpressive cast of Sharon Stone, Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, and Gene Hackman.
Why you need it: This is an underrated movie, unjustly maligned when it first came out. Blu-Ray is your excuse to snap it up again. It’s so sharp, you’ll swear Lance Henriksen is in your living room. Yes, again.
