One of the biggest crimes in TV-shows-to-DVD releasesand there haven't been many, because only dorks think a lackluster TV-to-DVD release is a crimecan be traced to Twin Peaks. Back in 2001 they released the first season of this groundbreaker without the necessary pilot or resolution to the show's biggest question: Who killed Laura Palmer? Now, six years later, we finally have all 22 episodes from the '90-'91 season. But, according to Amazon, the first season is out of print, so good luck finding that for under $100. We can't find it in us to hate them because this season has one of the best episodes of anything aired on TV. The one where the killer is finally revealed. David Lynch proved that he could translate his bizarre storytelling to TV, and each episode was always light-years ahead of anything other networks could offer. Paramount also make up for past disappointment with a lot of extras from the casteven though tracking down Mädchen Amick and Kyle MacLachlan couldn't have been easy. Unless they happened to both be staying at the same homeless shelter. (But seriously, what are the odds of that?)
