Longstanding married couple hits rocky times when an affair sexes things up. Sounds good on paper, but then Richard Gere gets involved. As far as boring, soft-core porn goes, we’ve seen worse (Unfaithful director Adrian Lyne’s remake of Lolita, for instance). But the DVD goes too far in giving the cast three different settings—the commentary, a Charlie Rose interview, and a behind-the-scenes featurette—to talk about the soft-core porn. No one wants to hear Richard Gere babble on and on about the tumultuous nature of an affair. No one.
