Urban Legends: Final Cut

Release Date:
Friday, September 22, 2000
Star Rating:
If Scream is the original of its genre, then Urban Legends: Final Cut is a photocopy generation so far down the line it resembles a charcoal drawing. You know it’s bad when no-name actors seem embarrassed to be in it. It’s a standard slasher flick without an ounce of originality, and even less in the way of thrills. The only time we screamed was during the opening credits, when we realized Joey Lawrence was in it. Sorry, Joseph Lawrence. Although there are some gory touches (one girl gets beheaded by a broken window—a fine decapitation/defenestration combo), this one never rises above cheap horror movie tactics.
