The Rock reheats this 1973 classic about a man and his trusty two-by-four smashing out justice in a small Washington town overrun by drug dealers. And since Walking Tall pits the People's Champion amid more action than a WWE cage match, it hardly matters that the tattered story line comes closer to Dead Man Walking than the original. Like the movie, the extras come in bursts. "Fight the Good Fight" kicks through different ways to get creatively violent, focusing on stunts and choreographed moves rather than effects. (The Rock even throws in a couple of "candy-asses" for good measure.) The deleted scenes, alternate ending, and blooper reel total all of about five minutes, most of which find costar Johnny Knoxville laughing as if he'd just taken a groin shot at a Jackass reunion special. There's even a helpful commentary track in which The Rock sits down for set stories, fun movie facts, and the occasional threat to take down any jabronie who doesn't think The Rock should've garnered some Oscar consideration for this role.
