The Skinny: Commitment-phobic slacker Jack (Ashton Kutcher) gets fired by his own dad on the same day that uptight Wall Street trader Joy (Cameron Diaz) gets humiliated and dumped by her fiancé. They both head to Vegas, where in a blur they meet, get drunk, and get married. On their way to the annulment, Jack hits a $3 million jackpot, which Joy now wants a piece of. Hauled into court, Jack and Joy are sentenced by a judge to work at their marriage for six months before either of them touches any of the cash. Got all that?

The Good: Kutcher and Diaz dive into their roles with a manic energy that almost—almost—distracts you from the fact that you are watching the same romantic comedy you've watched for 30 years repackaged and resold yet again. However, the laughs are really only supplied by Rob Corddry as Jack's lawyer/friend, but you could probably have guessed that.

The Bad: Again, this is Romantic Comedy Version No. 1,345,671. Nothing new brought to the table, nothing surprising attempted at any point. It passes over you like, well, Vegas: loud, sloppy, and cliché. But what the hell? In a week, who's going to care?

You Could Have Saved Some Budget Cash: Why cast an actor as awesome as Dennis Farina and then give him roughly two unremarkable scenes in the entire movie?

Theater, DVD, or TNT in Five Years? Overall, it's a relatively painless DVD night for you and your girl.
