Forget voting, Ice Cube effects change in Washington the old-fashioned way: with a shitload of explosives. Cube drops bombs by land, by sea, and by soundtrack to thwart an evil politician (Willem Dafoe) and his plans for world domination. The plot may have more holes than 50 Cent, but it boasts enough action to make Cube look legit. A visual-effects crew commentary track reveals technical details, while "XXX: According to Ice Cube" gets a Cube's-eye-view of his work with the stunt team. If you're interested in knowing what all of your tax dollars are funding, "Military Warehouse" discusses the gadgets in the movie, many of which were based on innovations the crew observed during private tours of the Pentagon. Effects info for the über-geeks is provided in "Bullet Train Breakdown," which lets you toggle between four stages of developmentstoryboard, digital storyboard, blue screen, and finalduring the flick's climactic chase scene. Finally, the thorough "Making of XXX" shares facts on early re-writes (Cube was originally going to be a sidekick), the vehicles in the flick (cars, trucks, tanks), and Dafoe's inspiration for a corrupt politician (Donald Rumsfeldsend your hate mail accordingly; he said it, not us).
