The Skinny: Zack (Seth Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) decide to make a porn film for fun and profit. Having sex on camera eventually shows them what living together, being each other's confidante and best friend, and generally merging their lives in every conceivable way has not been able to show them—that they, surprise, love each other.
The Good: The movie breezes by better on DVD than it did in theaters, because the inherent distractions of being at home keep you from focusing on how flawed the movie is and instead allow you to just pick up the odd chuckle here and there. Still, this isn't anyone involved's best work. Not even Jason Mewes'. And defintely not Katie Morgan's.
The Bad: Again, the movie tries to mix filth and feeling and never really does either convincingly. The lack of a commentary is odd, too, but the "Popcorn Porno" making-up featurette gets as in-depth as you could probably want regardless. But the odds that you'll even dig that deep are slim.
Best Extra: "Seth vs. Justin," in which Rogan and Justin Long attempt to out-improvise one another. Unlike the "gag" reel that's also included, this actually features some funny stuff.
Buy, Rent, or Ignore: This is a rental. Your life is complete without it on your shelf.
