We give the French lots of shitand they deserve itbut well give credit where its due. Frog duo Air couldnt rock their way out of a cellophane bag, but their atmospheric electropop is pretty damn cool. Unlike their wanky, hipper-than-thou contemporaries, Air doesnt get by on technological gizmos alonethey write actual songs, and good ones, too. Beck even stops by to lend some psychedelic weirdness to The Vagabond. Mostly, Air sounds like Pink Floyd kickin it on the dark side of the moon.
