If you’re of legal drinking age, you might not be familiar with Vitamin C’s 1999 hit, “Graduation (Friends Forever),” last spring’s high-school prom theme of choice. You also might not know that the shapely figure behind the schmaltz is not another aspiring teen queen but a 30-year-old named Colleen Fitzpatrick, who once fronted the promising alt-rock outfit Eve’s Plumb. More follows up her platinum debut with more of the same vapid, instantly forgettable dance-pop pap. It’s as harmless as it is soulless, but this is someone old enough to know better.
