Once an up-and-coming hip-hopper, Busta’s best known these days as a Sprite pitchman and occasional actor. But motormouthed Rhymes has put aside his other careers temporarily to attempt a musical rebirth. With pumped production from Dr. Dre and the Neptunes, Genesis mostly delivers, showcasing Busta’s intricate rhymes and cracked cadence (check the thumping, whiplash-fast “Break Ya Neck”). But Busta’s duet with Sisqó just might have his listeners attempting an Exodus.
