Its admirable the way the BossTones stuck to their guns after the ska-punk boat had sailed, but theres not much likable about their new songs, which sound so much like their old songs you wonder why they bothered. I Want My City Back works up a decent lather over the yuppification of Boston, but only the blues throwaway Seven Ways to Sunday fucks with the blueprint. The BossTones may not be trend-hoppers, but are they better for being stubborn bastards?
