Kracker, a.k.a. Kid Rock’s DJ, loves music. He sings odes to Memphis soul and even covers Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away.” Too bad he’s lousy at it. Whether trying to be a tough-guy rapper or a hipster hick, he can’t match the charisma or pipes of his master. Kracker wants to be an American badass, but he comes off like just another meathead doing karaoke.
