Its been a while since ex-Lemonheads frontman Dando has done much of anything, as the title of his latest solo effort (the last few Lemonheads discs might as well have been solo albums) suggests. Sounding, appropriately, like hes just been roused out of bed, Dando makes simple, strummy, hangdog pop thats somehow as irresistible as it is unsurprising. The mix of acoustic guitars, piano, and low-key percussion depicts heartache with wry humor. Its nothing new, but in Dandos case, change is overrated.
