This SoCal funk-metal five-piece rocks somewhere in between the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against the Machine. (Um, Pepper the Chili Machines With Red Hot Rage?) Their latest is a screaming, high-energy slugfest featuring put-down anthems like “Megalomaniac” and loser operettas like “Sick, Sad Little World” that rarely let up. It’s 10 crows away from original, but there’s no doubt Incubus have angry energy to burn and a whole mess of matches.
