Ever hear of The Beatles? They were a pretty big band. Very popular. Critically acclaimed. Revolutionized pop music.

Wrote a lot of good songs, too.

And we ("we" being everyone in the world except for Paul, Ringo, inner circle members, and Beatles experts) thought we had heard every Beatles song there was.

We were wrong. There's a song we haven't heard. And now, Paul McCartney is itching to release it.

In an interview with BBC Radio 4 that is airing this week, McCartney confirmed the existence of Carnival Of Light, a 14-minute long, improvised track recorded in 1967 and which, apparently, has a sound as psychedelic as one might expect from an experimental song released in 1967. Random shrieks and noises made on household items, all laden with an echo effect, make up the "tune," such as it were/is. It was heard in public once - a recording was played at a 1967 experimental music festival in London.

So Carnival Of Light is weird...
