Some songs have no middle ground - you love them, or hate them. Some songs you really, REALLY hate. And when you hear them, you want to kill someone.

Unfortunately, this sad scenario actually came to pass in a Steamboat Springs, Colorado bar on New Year's Day. The initial trigger was that most common of occurrences - a jukebox argument. According to the Denver Post, Richard Lopez, a 37 year-old decorated Army Special Forces soldier, was accosted by two bar patrons after selecting one of his favorite songs for play. The song?

Margaritaville.

That's right: Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett's long-controversial anthem dear to annoying Parrotheads who wear tropical-themed garb and consume copious amounts of sickly sweet aperitifs in anticipation of Buffett's annual visit to suburban amphitheaters across the land. THAT Margaritaville.
