Veteran Queensbridge duo Mobb Deep's careers were toilet-bound, if not already there, when they signed on to become the newest addition to the G-Unit stable. Their first 50 Centhelmed project brings a welcome bit of pop bounce to the pairs bleak ghetto fables. Amid the drug deals, gun talk, and G-Unit cameos are some actual love songs (OK, sex songs). The production is aces, and even when the rhymes arent (check out 50s rhythmically challenged hook on the otherwise delightful Pearly Gates), Blood Money flows just fine.
