Instead, Infected just steamrolls you with sheer power and endless bouncy hooks, calling to mind the guitar blitzkriegs of Bad Religion and the Offspring. The Canadian outfit has streamlined its sound, 86-ing the occasional raps that made their megasingle “Fat Lip” sound like Blink-182 doing a Beasties impression. The resulting assault will surprise few but undoubtedly please fans.
