Heathen Chemistry

You’ve gotta hand it to Oasis: They do what they do well and have no damn interest in changing their tune. Their fifth record is about as predictable as an afternoon of Superstation reruns, but we’re not complaining. Guitars buzz and strut through the gloriously venomous “Force of Nature,” and massive hooks bound from the Brit-rock stunner “Little by Little.” Even Liam’s starting to horn in on brother Noel’s act, penning songs like the wistful “Songbird.” Clearly, they could pull this off in their sleep; lucky for us they don’t.
