Youre back in your old neighborhood, Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy sings, as he opens the bands first live album. The lyric is both literal and figurative: The two-CD set was recorded in Tweedys hometown, but it also finds him reconciling his bands alt-country roots with their more recent experimental jags. If anything, hearing the flailing, feedback-drenched 1996 stomp, Misunderstood, and the flailing, feedback-drenched 2004 stomp Spiders (Kidsmoke) bookend this performance really just proves that the more the band changes, the more the band stays the same.
