Well say this about the White Hive Strokes trend: At least pop has been rescued from dancing weenies and returned to pasty Kinks fans who actually play guitar. By this logic, garage stalwarts Supergrass should be as big here as in their native England. Though their fourth album lacks the frenzy of 1995s I Should Coco, Never Done Anything Like That Before is ridiculously catchy, and singer Gaz Coombes channels glam godfather Marc Bolan on Za. Classic rock for kids who dont like classic rockor who wont admit it.
