Artist:
Lindsay Lohan
Occasionally, lots of talented writers, producers, engineers and musicians get together and work their asses off to create a pop moment that sounds effortless. Then there are albums like this one, in which you can hear the billable hours in every note. Look, nobody thinks Lindsay Lohan is a real musical talent, but that can be as liberating as it is confining. Unfortunately, most of these tunes sound alarmingly generic, the covers (Cheap Trick’s “I Want You to Want Me,” Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen”) are little more than passable karaoke, and Lohan seems to be saving her energy for a late-night bar crawl after the sessions.
