Being the offspring of a famous person is never easy. Instead of being able to grow and develop in anonymity, you are scrutinized. Your talents and appearance are compared to your famous parents. People view you as a curiosity.

So is it any surprise, then, that Weston Cage (above, center), the son of Nicolas Cage, has taken the stage name of "Arcane" and performs behind layers of makeup? Not really, when you consider that his band is a Scandinavian-influenced death metal band. Stage names and makeup, as well as leather and flowing black hair, are the norm. Still, it's pretty convenient—who's going to recognize the son of Nicolas Cage when he's in his full metal jacket?

The name of the band is Eyes Of Noctum. Weston, make that Arcane, is, according to their MySpace, the band's lyricist and vocalist, in that order. He bears a strong resemblance to Raising Arizona's Lone Biker Of The Apocalypse in his stage get-up, though it's certainly possible that it's his everyday look. As for the rest of the band, there are five other "heathens" in the band. And if you were about to scoff at any cred that a movie star's son's band may lack, note their album was recorded by big time Swedish metal producer Fredrik Nordstrom.
