But the guitar rock of The Tragically Hip could not stay secret forever. Their ninth album, Music @ Work, easily trumps the Matchbox/Third Eye/Dolls drivel that dominates American modern rock radio, with tracks like Freak Turbulence capturing the energy that has made them one of the best concert bands in any country. To miss that would be, well, a tragedy.
