The Bosstones secret? Theyre topnotch musicians who dont give a rats ass about such a distinction, and so are free to bang out their frenzied mix of ska, punk, soul, and metal like drunken Vikings. Dickey Barrett leads the charge here, barking through the horn-fueled affair as though hes been living on a steady diet of cigarettes and asbestos. Of course they arent breaking much new ground, but at least theyre stomping over old territory hard enough to crack the pavement.
