Sound Advice from Allison Hagendorf: St. Patty's Day Edition

Kiss me, I’m Irish! Well, not really, I’m actually a European mash-up, but hey I do love all things Irish culture…including the mash. But seriously, who doesn’t love the fine work of Yeats, the theatrics of Riverdance, and a delicious Guinness? But above all, I am most grateful for the country’s resident rockers like U2, Thin Lizzy, The Pogues, Van Morrison, Flogging Molly, and Snow Patrol. Most recently Ireland has given us two newer native artists: pop-rock trio The Script, and “Soul of Ireland” singer/songwriter Laura Izibor. My “Sound Advice” for St. Patrick’s Day is to embrace your inner Irish by embracing these two new Irish acts. Check out The Script’s “Breakeven” and Laura Izibor’s “Perfect World" and drink a lot of green beer. Speaking of drinking, a bunch of you have asked me to suggest some good drinking songs, so here are a few to put you in the mood, or uh, to get you lucky.
