We were recently in the unique position of playing enabler to Soulja Boy's need for a videogame fix. With quivering fingers, an overwhelming feeling of "OMG, I'm the coolest kid on the block", and an advance copy of Gears of War 2 we scrambled downtown to Professor Thom's in the East Village in NYC to meet up with the rap/internet superstar to have him test out the game and give us his initial thoughts on the title that would go on to sell over 2 million units in its first weekend.
A self-avowed Gears of War expert, Soulja Boy needed no time at all to get right into the thick of things and lay waste to the Locust horde, but not without suffering himself: when time for the session was up Blender had to play stern parent and turn the 360 off. As expected, Soulja Boy loved the game and couldn't wait to get back home to his gameroom that night where his pre-ordered copy was waiting for him.
