The only things more unlikely than this British anarchist collective scoring a hit with their 1997 pub shout-along, Tubthumping, is a follow-up that doesnt suck. Surprise! WYSIWYG is a grab bag of orchestral rock, country twang, dance beats, and politico-punk, all spiked with the irreverence that led Chumba to call their debut album Pictures of Starving Children Sell Records. It lacks the gonzo novelty hit of its predecessor, which may mean its on a one-way ticket back to obscurity, but hey, when these guys get knocked down, they get up again.
