You Don't Know Me: The Songs of Cindy Walker

If you don’t know who Cindy Walker is, you’re in good company. We didn’t either, but listening to Willie wrap his earthy voice around 13 of her tunes made us want to find out. (FYI: She’s a Texas songwriter and Country Music Hall of Fame member.) The tunes lean heavily toward breezy Texas swing and dusty love songs, and though Nelson often is most interesting when he operates out of his comfort zone, it’s nice to hear him completely at ease this time around.
