‘Miss Bumbum’ Contest Sparks Outrage By Recreating the Last Supper

Butt seriously, are you offended?

Brazil’s annual “Miss Bumbum” contest is one of the country’s most competitive swimsuit smackdowns, with there being no short supply of ample-bottomed babes pining for the nation’s “best bottom” title.

But now, the derrière-devoted pageant is taking heat from the outside, from Brazil’s Catholic community for recreating Leonardo Da Vinci’s iconic “The Last Supper,” but with eight booty-full finalists rather than Jesus and his disciples.

The pageant’s creator, Cacau Oliver, told the Daily Mail that the biblical scenario captures the tense atmosphere of the competition.

“It was the last meeting of the women before the grand final,” Oliver said. “It reminded me of ‘The Last Supper.’ It was where Jesus was betrayed by Judas, because of jealousy, and like it or not the woman with the most votes is also the target of jealousy.”

The Miss Bumbum hopeful who won the most popular votes by phone is seated at the center, in Jesus’ spot, while her backside challengers look on in envy.

“She is at the center, and the other girls will want to crucify her because she got more votes than them,” Oliver explained.

It’s a cheeky concept for a photo shoot, but widespread backlash promoted the neon orange-thonged lovely at the photo’s center, Daiana Fegueredo, to apologize for posing as a sexy Jesus.

“I completely understand people being angry about it, because even I’m angry and I’m in it,” Fegueredo said. “For me it is blasphemy. I feel really bad deep inside of me. I’m a practicing Catholic.

“Since I did the photo my heart is tight inside my chest, I can’t sleep and I don’t stop thinking about it. I’ve already asked forgiveness from God, and I ask forgiveness from everyone else. We went too far. We were part of a great sin.”

Great sin or not, the show must go on. 2016’s Miss Bumbum will be crowned on Nov. 9.
