This Demonic Dodge Charger Custom Has 1,525-HP Under the Hood

American muscle at its finest.

Speedkore Performance, the Wisconsin-based customizers that built Vin Diesel’s absurd 1,650-horsepower restomod, brought a truly ungodly Charger to SEMA 2019.

Beginning with a 2019 Dodge Charger Pursuit, Speedkore transplanted the 6.2-liter V8 from a Challenger SRT Demon and swapped the engine’s supercharger for a pair of turbos, boosting its output to a ridiculous 1,535 hp. A three-inch competition series exhaust by Magnaflow slightly dampens the V8’s growl to levels suitable for city driving.

To ensure the drivetrain wouldn’t explode under all that added pressure, bolstered components including a Hellraiser performance transmission, custom transfer case, an FTI torque converter and a carbon-fiber driveshaft were installed, according to Car and Driver.

Dodge also provided a Charger Hellcat Widebody that was 3D-scanned to produce molds for the devilish ride’s widebody kit, while Speedkore fitted a carbon fiber front and rear bumper, rockers, hood, rear spoiler and rear diffuser. Everything rides on Mickey Thompson ET street tires.

The Speedkore Demon may not be most radical or highest-tech vehicle to debut at SEMA this year, but it’s definitely the baddest.
