When we first met the all-new 2014 Mazda3 in a giant warehouse a few months back, it was love at first sight. It looked like an Alfa Romeo, had the efficiency of a hybrid, and was inexpensive enough that we could afford it on our paltry magazine editor salaries. Well, seems the gearheads over at AutoGuide.com are just as smitten as we are; they have named the hot hatch their "2014 Car of the Year." Now, we know Mazda is doing some special things these days—we had a blast behind the wheel of both the Mazda6 and the CX-9—so this news really comes as little surprise. In fact, we think this tiny car just might be the ultimate stocking stuffer this holiday season…
