STUFF: You went to high school with a bunch of other actors, including Jerry O’Connell. Did you see Kangaroo Jack out of a feeling of obligation?
TARA: I did see Kangaroo Jack. [Laughs] When you know someone forever, you see them and you just laugh. It’s cute.

Paris Hilton is another friend of yours. What do you think of The Simple Life?
I think it’s hilarious. I think they’re adorable on it. It’s totally two different worlds that intertwine, and it’s funny to see how they interact.

Have you seen her infamous sex tape?
No, I haven’t. I don’t want to watch my friends have sex. That doesn’t really do it for me.

Have you talked to her about it?
No offense, but even if I did, I’m not going to tell you. That’s personal. If she’s not talking, why would I be the one who said something?

Because it might help me get a promotion! You auditioned for the role of Mary Jane in Spider-Man but didn’t get it. Did you root for it to fail miserably? I know I would have.
If you got hung up on every movie you didn’t get, you’d quit. That’s just bitter. If I don’t get it, it wasn’t meant to be. Whatever cards are dealt to me, I’ll deal with them. But if I don’t get something, I’m not angry at the people. There’s always another movie.
