It's no secret that we love having Cadillacs in the Maxim garage. From the vicious CTS-V Sport Wagon to the super-dignified, BMW-killing ATS, GM's luxury line has successfully eradicated their long-standing image of cars for grumpy grandpas and fat gangsters. Well, now they're upping the ante even more. Meet the new twin-turbo charged V-6 engine that will be powering the next-generation CTS starting next year. Pairing 420 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque with an eight-speed automatic (or paddle-shift) transmission, it's the most power-dense six-cylinder engine in the midsize luxury segment: 3.6 liters with 118 horsepower per liter. Translation? The new CTS—which is making its debut next week at the New York International Auto Show—will reach 60 mph from a standstill in 4.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of 170 mph. Looks like these turbos will be the hottest and fastest twins since these two beauties
