Ask a Jets Cheerleader

These are the finest girls in the NFL this season. Check back each week to see a new team's babes and see what they do the best...look good! This week, the New York Jets Cheerleaders, The Jets Flight Crew, sat down and answered some of our questions. See their complete slideshow here. Order the Jets Flight Crew Calendar here. Danielle

It was probably a fantasy to become an NFL cheerleader, so now that you've reached this, what's your next fantasy or dream?

"It’s always been a dream of mine to pursue a career in the modeling industry.  America’s Next Top Model was my favorite show and it inspired me to want to become a serious model.  I never knew how to start and where to go, so that dream has been put on hold…for now!"

What's the craziest thing a dude's ever done to hit on you? In or out of the stadium?

"I will never forget this one time, I was driving on the Expressway and I noticed that a car was driving right next to mine at the same exact speed.  So I look over and there’s this guy hanging out of his window trying to get my attention.  He was making all sorts of gestures and trying to get my number while driving!  I couldn’t believe that this guy was as serious as he was.  I just gave a smile and looked ahead at the road in front of me hoping he would drive away!"

What's the best and worst thing about being an NFL cheerleader?

"That’s a tough one because there are so many great things that come from being an NFL cheerleader.  One of the best things however, is meeting such great people.  Whether they’re Jets fans or my Flight Crew teammates, it’s always nice meeting new people.  On the other hand, since I am kind of a fast food junkie, the worst part about being an NFL cheerleader is having to turn down a McDonalds value meal!"

Jessica

It was probably a fantasy to become an NFL cheerleader, so now that you've reached this, what's your next fantasy or dream?

"To be honest, I am so ecstatic about being a Jets Flight Crew Member, I can’t think of doing anything else right now. But ever since I was a child I've wanted to be a Radio City Rockette, and that's still my dream. With the opportunities I've had recently, I’ve also fantasized about being a model. I've really enjoyed the photo shoots and the experiences they've brought with them, and all of the new friends I've made because of it."

What’s the nightlife for you? Stay in and relax, or it’s the weekend, bring back college?

"Most definitely staying in and relaxing. With practice during the week and training, I love just cuddling up on the couch with a blanket and watching movies until I fall asleep. Going out is nice, but staying in and relaxing is tops for me during the busy  football season."

When you’re not dancing, where can people find you?

"I have an office job, and I am currently a college student. When I am not working out at the gym, or taking dance classes, I love to shop.  On the weekends, I try to spend time with my friends and family. During the football season, my family and I go out for dinner after the games. It’s a great way to catch up and talk about the happenings at the game."

Linda

It was probably a fantasy to become an NFL cheerleader, so now that you've reached this, what's your next fantasy or dream?

"I absolutely love where I am in my life right now. It really is a dream come true being an NFL cheerleader. I can definitely see myself doing this for a few more years and then who knows what is next. Traveling- working at a high- end architectural firm in New York City- marriage… Only time can tell!"

Jock or Nerd. Which one would you really rather settle down with?

"I’m going to have to go with option C, The Nerdy Jock.  The man that I settle down with one day needs to be tough and macho while at the same time sweet and sensitive. He has to be the guy who can fully enjoy going to Broadway shows with me on Saturday nights, and also the guy I can watch football with on Sundays.  Nothing beats the best of both worlds!"

What’s your favorite stadium to go to?

"I've only been there once, but The Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii is my absolute favorite.  I was there for the 2008 Pro Bowl and it was such a memorable experience! The stadium has so much history and the fact that it's in Hawaii automatically makes it my favorite!"

Mandisa

It was probably a fantasy to become an NFL cheerleader, so now that you've reached this, what's your next fantasy or dream?

"Being an NFL cheerleader has allowed me to be exposed to so many great experiences and people.  I just want to continue to live a happy & successful life."

What’s the worst cheerleading injury you’ve ever had?

"Oh gosh-I remember back in high school I was cheering on our basketball team and when they won I ran down the bleachers, skipped one, and “gracefully” stumbled ending up with a sprained ankle!  So…..I wasn’t necessarily cheerleading, but I was cheering-that counts, right?"

What’s the best and worst thing about being a NFL cheerleader?

"The best thing about being an NFL cheerleader is being able to perform in front of 80,000 fans alongside 29 other talented women.  We love what we do and we have the best seat in the house!  Worst thing?  Maybe moving the flags, those things are far heavier then they look, but at least they keep my arms in shape!"

Meredith

What's the craziest thing a dude's ever done to hit on you? In or out of the stadium?

"Believe it or not, nothing strange has happened to me yet.  So come on dudes, I’m waiting…"

What’s the best and worst thing about being a NFL cheerleader?

"There are so many best things that I can’t choose just one.  Just being a part of the Jets organization is an honor in itself but, perhaps, the best thing is being able to perform in front of all the fans which is something I’ve prepared for my whole life. The worst thing is having to give it all up someday."

When you’re not dancing, where can people find you?

"In people’s mouths.  What can I say, I’m a dental hygienist."

Ryann

It was probably a fantasy to become an NFL cheerleader, so now that you've reached this, what's your next fantasy or dream?

"My dreams have changed so much since becoming an NFL Cheerleader. I'd have to say in all honesty that someday being a member of the coaching staff of an NFL cheerleading team would be an honor, and a wonderful end to my own career as an  NFL cheerleader."

Male cheerleaders. Weird, right?

"Right. But please don't call them cheerleaders! That sounds so silly. Call them athletes or call them
gymnists. But please don't call them cheerleaders."

What’s the nightlife for you? Stay in and relax, or it’s the weekend, bring back college?

"The weekend all the way...Sorry mom, I can't help it...Girls just want to have fun! xoxo"
