High School High

His Airness may be done playing, but that hasn't kept him from keeping his gigantic handprints all over the league. His annual high school basketball showcase just went down at Madison Square Garden, and it boasted one of the best classes since that LeBron fella was still playing for free. Here's what the tallest of the lot had to say about college, Jordan, and Jordan's cologne.

Edgar Sosa

Edgar Sosa, 6'2", PG and Curtis Kelly, 6'8", PF
Heading to: Louisville, UConn, respectively.

What's your favorite Jordan memory?
Sosa: I think the game-winner fall-out jump shot against the Cavaliers.
Kelly: The crossover move against Utah.

Now that he's been retired for a couple of years, could you take MJ one-on-one?
Sosa: I don't think so. He's taller than I am, he's just going to shoot right over me, and I'm pretty sure he still has his wicked jump shots, so¿
Kelly: I'm up for the challenge. I would, I really would. I'm not gonna say I'd talk junk, but I'd be up for the challenge.

Did you ever try the Jordan cologne?
Kelly: Nah, I haven't.
Sosa: I've tried it.

Curtis Kelly

Was it a hit with the ladies?
Sosa: I don't know about all that, but it made me smell good.

What do you guys do when you're not playing basketball?
Sosa: I'm just hanging out with my friends, hanging out with some girls.
Kelly: Ladies, man. I'm not the best looking dude but I get a whole bunch of ladies.
Sosa: Damn right you're not the best looking dude!

Are you worried about making the transition from high school chicks to college chicks?
Sosa: Not really, because all types of girls like me, so not really. I think I'll do fine with the ladies my whole life.
Kelly: Like I said, I'm not the best looking, but I'm smooth.

Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant, 6'10", SF (Jordan Classic co-MVP)
Heading to: Texas.

What's your favorite Jordan memory?
Lemme see¿when he dunked on Patrick Ewing.

Now that he's been retired for a couple of years, could you take MJ one-on-one?
Hell no! I mean, it's gonna be good, I'm not gonna say he gonna beat me, but he still has the fire inside him that he's gonna win. Just 'cause he's old, he's not gonna lose, but I got the same fire, so, you never know.

Did you ever wear his cologne when it came out?
No¿I don't even wear cologne. I just put on deodorant.

Are you worried about making the transition from high school girls to college girls?
Oh, I can't wait. I went down to Texas for a visit¿it was crazy. But I'm gonna learn how to contain myself¿I need to focus on basketball and schoolwork.

Thaddeus Young

Thaddeus Young, 6'9", SF (Jordan Classic co-MVP)
Going to: Georgia Tech.

What's your favorite Jordan memory?
When he hit the game winner on the Cleveland Cavaliers over Ehlo.

Now that he's been retired for a couple of years, do you think you could take MJ one-on-one?
No, I know he's still working out, he's still getting at people, so I ain't even gonna try. Not even worth it.

Have you ever tried the Jordan cologne?
No, but I've smelled it¿it smells pretty good.

Spencer Hawes

Spencer Hawes, 6'11", C
Heading to: Washington.

What's your favorite Jordan memory?
I think it was the shot against Utah¿either that one or when he came back with the four-five. I remember everything: what I was doing, where I was¿

Now that he's been retired for a couple of years, do you think you could take MJ?
I don't think so. I'm not gonna be one of the cocky guys that says they can get him. I mean, I play against my dad all the time¿those guys got some crafty moves.

The old-man strength?
Yeah, all that old-man strength is hard to reckon with¿I'm waiting to get me some of that.

Did you every try Jordan's cologne?
Yes, I did. I mean, I was in, like, sixth grade, so I can't tell you how good it was working with the girls, but I mean, I might try it again.

What do you do when you're not playing?
I mean, that's only about a couple hours a day, so I'm resting or hanging out with my friends or hanging out with my girlfriend. I don't know¿there's not really one other thing that I love to do as much as hooping.

Are you worried about the transition from high school chicks to college chicks?
Uh¿I won't comment too much on that.
