Ronda Rousey Is Officially Off the Market, Getting Hitched to Fellow UFC Fighter Travis Browne

She’s been carrying around quite a rock on her left hand.

Ronda Rousey is off the market. 

After nearly two years of dating fellow MMA fighter Travis Browne, the former UFC champion has agreed to marry him. The couple broke the news during an ambush interview by a TMZ reporter this week. 

“We were under a water fall in New Zealand and it felt like the right place to do it,” Browne said of the proposal. 

Rousey and Browne started their relationship when she was at the top of the MMA world. It was April 2015, right after he demolition of Cat Zingano and a few months before her destruction of Bethe Correia. Browne was married at the time, but we won’t get into that. 

While their relationship has mostly stayed out of the headlines, both Rousey and Browne have garnered plenty of their own publicity in recent months. Rousey’s been in the news because it looks like her fight career is over.

There’s nothing official, but all the signs point to her never getting back into the cage. In January, Dana White said his sense is that “she’s probably done…She’s going to ride off into the sunset and start living her life outside of fighting.”

Browne, meanwhile, is still fighting. He’s been on a losing streak though, dropping his last three fights. The most recent was a KO at the hands of Derrick Lewis, who had one thing on his mind after the end of the fight: Rousey.
